Established in 2016

While on a sabbatical in Marrakesh in 2016, husband and wife team Miriam and John fell in love with the textiles and artisanal works of Morocco, particularly vintage Beni Ourain, Azilal and Boucherouite Rugs. They established Mellah upon their return to Toronto, Canada, renovated a diamond in the rough storefront on College St., operated there for 3 years, and moved to 373 Roncesvalles in the summer of 2019. Today Mellah is located at 309 Roncesvalles Avenue, where they now share their amazing collection of Moroccan rugs, both vintage and modern, and live upstairs.
